Our client has decided it's time to bring their highly successful suite of software applications into the new millenium and seek a bright and innovative User Interface Designer/Developer to join the upgrade team.

Some of your duties will include:
  • Design and coding of various user interfaces to the backend database systems for both client-server and web-enabled versions.
  • Preparation and Initial testing of completed builds, including follow up bug and defect resolution/repair.
  • Analysis of User Interfaces in the existing software applications leading to development of new UI designs and UI functionality for the application.

This role presents candidates with the opportunity to use the latest technology from Microsoft and ideally, your previous working history will be based around working in the Microsoft space. You will also need 2-5 years of experience with :

  • Development skills in an n-tier environment using C# .NET
  • Object Orientated code development,
  • Silverlight User Interface design (Experience with Winforms or other presentation frameworks will also be considered),
  • Development skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2005, exposure to SQL Server 2008 would be an advantage.
  • SQL statements and producing stored procedures,
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Working in a team environment.
 
 
Formal Qualifications in Computer Science are a must and Microsoft certifications are a definite advantage.
 
You will also have the ability to grasp new concepts and environments very quickly as our client works in a specialised industry, bringing with it a whole new set of definitions, meanings and nomenclature. It is critical that you can absorb and understand this new scenario quickly and start being productive in a very short timeframe.
